What counts as volume
The volume fee is a share of your live volume: the gross amount of your successful live payments in the month, tax included, converted to your plan's currency (euros, Swiss francs or US dollars) at the European Central Bank rate of each payment's date, minus refunds and lost disputes.
- It's billed monthly in arrears, on yearly plans too.
- Test mode is never billed.
- There's no fixed fee per sale. Platform merchants of record charge a fixed fee on every sale, which weighs most on low prices.
- The cheapest plan depends on your volume: Starter is cheapest up to about €29,800 a month, Growth up to about €175,000, and Scale above that.

E-invoicing at cost
Where your country requires e-invoicing, it's part of every live plan rather than a premium feature, because it's a legal obligation. The e-invoicing provider's transmission fees are passed through at cost. E-invoicing through a certified provider is in development.
Questions
Why is there no fee per transaction?
A fixed fee per sale hurts low-price products most. Ownrecord charges a share of live volume instead, plus the plan's monthly fee.
What about card processing?
You pay it to your own processor, under your own agreement. Ownrecord doesn't touch your payments, so it doesn't mark them up either.
How are Ownrecord's own invoices taxed?
Ownrecord sells through Ownrecord: our invoices come from our own legal entity, Etna Labs AG in Switzerland, with tax computed by the same engine you use. Swiss customers pay Swiss VAT. Businesses outside Switzerland with a valid VAT ID pay no Swiss VAT: the invoice says the supply is abroad and the reverse charge applies.
Can I change plans?
Yes. An upgrade takes effect at once, through checkout or with a payment method you already have. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the billing period. If you go over a lower plan's limits, nothing is deleted: you can't add more until you're back under the limit.
Which currency are prices in?
Euros, Swiss francs or US dollars, at the same numbers: you choose the currency when you pick a paid plan, and your plan keeps it. We suggest Swiss francs in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, euros in the EU and US dollars elsewhere. Volume in other currencies is converted to your plan's currency at the European Central Bank rate of each payment's date.
What does Enterprise include?
